By Editor - Stress Reducer To the Stars
Other than an extra 10 yards, the tour's most sought-after
commodity is serenity. To fight
stress, Bobby Jones used to soak in a hot tub nursing a cocktail. Today, pros
are more
holistic and swear by all manner of magnets and bracelets, the latest be\ng a
key-chain
sized pendant called a QLink.
Three PGA Tour players have won this year while wearing a QLink: Mark
Calcavecchia (Phoenix), Jesper Parnevik (Honda) and Scott McCarron (BellSouth). On the Senior
tour,
QLink wearer Mike McCMcCullough has come out on top twice after three winless
decades.

QLink presents a
breakthrough in Sports Science
Five Time Professional Bowlers Association champion Chris Barnes has one.
So too does pal and two time titleist Rick Steelsmith, who claims that whenever
he gets the chance to curl up with "his" during those short nights in hotel
rooms
while on the road, he notices not only a marked improvement in the quality of
sleep
he's getting, but also in his ability to attack the lanes with renewed vigour
the next day.
Heck, even icy cool Mika Koivuniemi, a four time champion, the runner-up to
the prestigious PBA crown in 2003-2004, and an intense giant of a man who is
known for
etting rattled under the rigors of tour life, has been captured by
ESPN cameras on several occasions kissing "his" for good luck before his many
television appearances.
And while it would indeed make for a nice, romantic story if we could conclude
here by saying that all of the above endorsements, overtures, and public
displays of affection made by these athletes on a regular basis are in
reference to their wives, girlfriends or significant others. The Sport bowling
newspaper thought that it would only be responsible journalism if we
divulged to you that each one of these men has a new love in his life.
Meet QLink...a tremendous breakthrough in sports science that not only
comes in the simple form of a pendant that can be worn around the athlete's
neck, but also allow the user to overcome the stress of a particularly nasty
split, a poor putt, or even a bad day at the office. While helping them to come
back and be at their best, most focused self the very next round.
FOR IMMEDIATE
RELEASE - Mika Koivuniemi - PBA Player of the Year for
2003-2004 Credits his Record
Smashing Year to the QLink - a Performance Mika offered the
following on behalf of QLink:
"The 2003-2004
Season was for me a dream come true. I was named player of the
year, and QLink played a big part in that. When I started to wear QLink the 7th
week of the season, I already had a great start. After wearing QLink, I got both
of
my titles and in all the other tournaments I felt really relaxed - I did not
think too
much about my chances to get the award. Thanks to QLink, I was always happy
how I bowled, even if I didn't win. Almost every time when I needed a good shot
I
felt more in the Zone and made the shot!! I know QLink helped me to do that!
What I am trying to say is QLink helped me keep my mind in the right "place" and
that helped me make great shots, even if I didn't always strike.
Scott Drummond,
ranked 435 in the world, wins the Volvo PGA in Shocker!
Anyone watching the Volvo PGA Championship this weekend on the final nail-biting
day would have had to try hard to miss the black cord around the young Scott
Drummond's
neck. Ranked 435 in the world - Drummond beat out some of the world's top
golfers
including Ernie Els, VijaySingh and Darren Clarke to become the first outsider
to win the
Volvo PGA on his debut since Arnold Palmer in 1975. He also tied the tournament
record
of 19-under 269 to win the second-biggest event on the European Tour.
Many remarked how calm and collected Drummond was during the final round holing
35ft
putts where many would have fallen under the pressure.
After hearing rave reviews from other players on the tour, Scott came to the
QLink offices in Tavistock also wanting something to improve his golf. The rest
is as they say, history.

December 2003: "I was a skeptical QLink wearer initially. Almost
immediately
(within 24hrs) I noticed three distinct differences. The first was my ability to
handle stressful situations with out becoming stressed. The second was the
quality of my sleep, I was more refreshed even with less than 6 hours of sleep.
The third benefit was to my memory, I noticed that my recall was quicker and
clearer (I'm 32 and have no memory issues per say but there was a distinct
difference). These "differences" became more apparent and consistent after a
week of wearing the QLink. After something becomes normal it's benefits become
the norm, recently I went a week without wearing my QLink (after a business
trip),
I was perplexed why I was feeling so tired until I re-made the correlation
between
overall mental sharpness and fatigue and the absence of my QLink. I am a fan and
I heartily can attest to its benefits. I appreciate the opportunity to use your
product
and will continue to turn my clients onto this great product."

RENOWNED SPORTS AUTHOR
In my practice and in my book Body, Mind, and Sport, I teach the importance of
maintaining a calm center within the activity of one's life. In fact, the calmer
one is,
the more powerful one can be. Like the eye of a hurricane, the bigger the eye,
the
calmer the center is and the more powerful the hurricane. I use a variety of
methods
to induce both athletes and non-athletes into this experience of inner calm.
Most
athletes, as do most activities in the West, create a state of fight or flight
emergency,
which wears the body down. The QLink directly supports this calm center within
one's
self. I strongly recommend the QLink to serious athletes and to everyone else
who
wants more graceful and less stressful performance. How does he
think the Q-Link helps in such extreme situations?
"As a climber, I believe that the Q-Link helps me out in myriad
ways, such as being able to gain my energetic equilibrium back after difficult
moments. Physically, climbing is a demanding activity. By its nature it asks you
to deal with a constant stream of adversities and drains on your energy and
resources. Q-Link gives me a source of mental focus, energy, and stamina. It
provides me with a foundation of energy that is balanced and calm. There is a
definite parallel between Q-Link and the use of oxygen on high altitude peaks.
Q-Link gives you a better chance of recovering your energy fully from all the
stresses of a large expedition."
Next on his
climbing itinerary is 5,200 feet of vertical and overhanging rock, covered in
ice and snow: the North Face of the Eiger in Switzerland. It is notorious as one
of the most dangerous mixed climbs in the world, earning it the nickname
" Mordwand" or "murder wall. To add a bit of extra challenge, Michael will be
climbing with Erik Weihenmayer, his blind climbing partner from Everest. This
climb will be far more difficult than Everest and demonstrate to the world that
there really are no barriers to what we can achieve when we focus all of our
energy on what we want to do. I will have a Q-Link with me every step of the way
to help me sustain the energy and focus that I will need.
